East Texas Regional Airport (ETRA) is proud to announce the installation of a brand-new Passenger Boarding Bridge beginning May 26, 2026. This exciting project marks another step forward in enhancing the passenger experience and supporting the future growth of commercial air service in East Texas.
The new boarding bridge will provide:
Air-conditioned boarding and deplaning access
Increased passenger comfort and convenience
Improved operational efficiency
The ability to accommodate larger commercial aircraft in the future
While construction is underway, passengers will temporarily board and deplane aircraft using an outdoor ramp access system. Travelers are encouraged to plan accordingly for weather conditions during this temporary transition, including bringing an umbrella during periods of inclement weather.
The new Passenger Boarding Bridge is anticipated to be fully operational by June 26, 2026.
